What Exactly Is a Splash Mask?
Splash masks are exactly what they sound like: masks that you splash onto your face—for mere seconds. That's right, seconds. "Splash masks are a growing trend as they answer the need for intense results in very little time," says Michelle Fry, product development director for skin-care brand Boscia, which came out with a splash mask of its own at the end of September. "Due to the high concentrations of ingredients, and the customizable format, users see the benefits quickly without wasting any precious time."

Originating in Korea—a country that's taken the beauty industry by storm with an array of unique technologies—they're perfect for those with dull and tired skin (likely a result of the whole "not having time for anything" issue), as they help to awaken your complexion in under a minute.
What's in Them?
Different formulas combine different ingredients, but most of the splash masks currently on the market contain high amounts of natural ingredients like rice bran oil, honey, and citrus extracts, which help tone skin and reduce blemishes. In tandem with lactic acid, these blends promote skin regeneration and provide a dose of complexion-smoothing antioxidants. You will immediately have brighter, more even-toned skin.
How Do They Work?
The application process is simple: add a capful of product into a sink filled with warm water, and splash the water onto your face for at least 30 seconds, following up by patting your face with a soft, dry towel.
You can also use these masks in the shower. Pour a bit into a cupped hand, and mix it with the shower water. Pat it on your face for at least 30 seconds, and voilà—you're done. And If there's anything we want in this life, it's a quicker, better way to good skin, right? Right.
