Launching in May of this year, Smolder has since gone viral on Instagram. It posts customers' swatch videos, as well as videos of some of the looks Smolder converts have created. The videos are completely mesmerizing, and we find ourselves watching one after another, dreaming up our own combinations of hues. You won't find any matte looks here—after all, who can resist something this shiny?

The Loose Glam Dusts can be brushed on dry for a subtle shimmer or wet for an intense, metallic look. Smolder also offers a Dazzle Lock primer that helps the Dusts keep their luster all day. More-experienced beauty gurus use different shades to create impressively detailed ombre effects, but a single color could also be swiped on as a simple shimmery eye shadow or highlight. "We want our customers to feel free to experiment with different looks," says Eileen Amirian, CEO of Smolder Cosmetics. "They are the artists. We're just providing them with glamorous tools to bring forth their most fabulous, unique, and bold selves."
