Show off some of your best features with some strategically placed eyeliner.
Eyeliner can do so much more than we thought. Use it for light contouring around your face to set off your features. "You can use eyeliner as a shading tool," says celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow, who's worked with Kate Mara and Keri Russell. "Draw down the sides of the nose, under the cheekbone, and crease of the eye." Then, just blend! Customize the look for your skin tone: "While browns and taupes are great for light to medium skin, black works best for very dark skin—the darker the skin tone, the darker the pencil," Turnbow says.
Add depth to your brows, like so. A model at the fall 2017 Agua de Coco show in São Paulo.
Eyeliner's also a great alternative to conventional brow filler. "You can use eyeliner to line, define, and fill in brows," Turnbow says. Choose a color that's closest to the brow hair and draw small hair-like strokes along your desired shape. Don't forget to blend with a spool!
