Put down the cat ears—illustrator Pablo Stanley has a better costume for you. Based in San Francisco, by way of Mexico, Stanley is the creator of the comic series The Design Team, a somewhat autobiographical tale about a designer who must navigate all the bizarre ups and downs of working in the tech world.

In time for Halloween, Stanley has also animated a few tongue-in-cheek costume ideas that make light of what he calls the "weird phrases and jargon" used by artists and designers. The "Notorious RGB," for example, references our baddest Supreme Court Justice, B.I.G., and the color wheel. Puns have always been at the core of Stanley's costumes. "Two years ago I was Audrey Hepbeard (I kept my beard)," Stanley says. "Last year I was Frida Pahblo (as in Frida Kahlo, but with my name), and this year my costume will be Marilyn Manroe." Looks like we've all got some tough competition.
