From the Empire State Building to One World Trade Center, New York is undoubtedly home to some of the most stunning architecture in the world.

But design buffs have even more to look forward to, if creative design firm Visualhouse's renderings of the iconic city in 2030 are any indication. The images include everything from recently opened buildings to projects that are under construction, as well as future proposals, all offering a peek at what the skyline could look like in fourteen years. 

One Vanderbilt, 15 Penn Plaza, and 520 W. 41st St. number among the anticipated skyscrapers to come.

Highlights of note include 432 Park Avenue, which, at 1,396 square feet, clocks in as the tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere, according to The New York Times. Via 57 West, the pyramid-shaped residential building designed by starchitect Bjarke Ingels, is also visible, as is the Nordstrom Tower, a planned 1,550-foot high rise that will house 155 condominiums and the eponymous department store. 

Here, the Hudson Yards development, which some predict will bring nearly $19 billion to the city's economy.

Also worth pointing out? The rise of the Hudson Yards, which is poised to be a design lover's dream—and a financial hotspot, too. When complete, Crain's predicts the neighborhood will bring in about $18.9 billion to the city's economy—more than the GDP of Iceland.
