Can you name every item in these nostalgia kits from artist Kate Gabrielle?More
Maybe the Y2K bug didn't blow out our computers when the clock struck midnight on January 1, 2000, but some great things were lost when we entered the new millennium—specifically, low-tech, '90s-kid treasures like slap bracelets, Pogs, Lisa Frank stickers, and Baby-Sitter's Club books. Luckily, artist Kate Gabrielle has assembled all of those things (and more) in her '90s-themed nostalgia kits. Each one is different, but they're all designed for "people who enjoyed popular culture and would have picked the girl's toy in the McDonalds happy meal."
The Book Fair Kit, $15.
"I was a '90s kid, so my love for that era and everything about it comes naturally," Gabrielle says. "Technology was advancing, but it hadn't yet invaded everyone's personal space. You still got super excited about little cardboard circles (Pogs!) or pencils that smelled like fruit when you wrote with them. It was a fun, sort of carefree time."
