Return of the Mac

When chef Michael Ferraro opened his restaurant, Mac Bar, in New York City's SoHo in 2009, cheesy macaroni was having something of a moment. But it was more than a passing trend for Ferraro, who since then has continued to improve upon the staple dish in ways that are as unexpected as they are delightful. Looking for a little inspiration at home, we asked Ferraro to share three new recipes for the home cook—all of which we've dutifully tested and would be willing to do again if you were to invite us over for a second round.
