Most of us think that to fuel our creativity or maximize productivity, we should focus on fixing up our living room and work space. Not so, according to Los Angeles-based interior designer and owner of Veneer Design, Natalie Myers. "Most people save their bedroom design budget for after they've finished their public areas," she explains, "and then they find themselves uninspired when they first wake up and when they retire for the night."
Instead, Myers recommends focusing your design dollars on your bedroom, first and foremost. "Have your favorite books, not your phone, at arm's reach, display beautiful framed art on your bedroom walls, and treat yourself to luxurious bedding."
