Fans of the three-season long Kroll Show on Comedy Central are already familiar with Nick Kroll and John Mulaney's Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland, whose main source of amusement is hosting their "prank" show in which they send unsuspecting diners tuna sandwiches that contain far too much tuna to be eaten in a sensible way. (The joke is dubbed, simply, "Too Much Tuna," and the punchline occurs whenever their victim finally utters that phrase.)

The show often features celebrity guests, including Amy Schumer, who popped by last week. Photograph courtesy of instagram/@ohhelloshow.

When it was announced that Kroll and Mulaney would be bringing these characters to a Broadway play, it was unclear, to say the least, how this might take shape. But the two longtime friends created something that was even better—sharper and more sophisticated—than anyone would have ever required of them.

"Oh, Hello" is showing on Broadway in New York City until January 22. For information see ohhellobroadway.com.
