Last year, when London-based fabric designer House of Hackney joined forces with backpack mainstay Eastpak, their first capsule collection of backpacks immediately sold out. With eye-popping, all-over prints, these weren't the monogrammed school bags of your youth. So, you're not going to want to sleep on their latest production, available tomorrow exclusively through the House of Hackney and Eastpak sites.
There are two limited edition bags in the collaboration, and only 700 available for each style, each of which is crafted from velvet with prints provided by London's William Morris Gallery. Sharp eyes will quickly spot the Moorish pattern motif on the "Peacock and Dragon" backpack. The other, "Artemis," references iconic fashion editor Diana Vreeland's bright, floral-patterned living room, which she called her "Garden in Hell."
