Whether you're after decades-old vintage or more recent consignment fashion, Paris' Resee is the go-to source.More
For fashion enthusiasts, nothing is more frustrating than missing out on the one piece you truly loved from a collection. Cue frantic eBay searches, endless trolling of your local consignment shops, and dispirited stares into the depths of your closet, knowing how much better everything you own would look if only you could wear it with that one perfect item. Feeling like you missed your chance at meeting your sartorial soulmate is more crushing than it probably should be—it's only shopping, after all.
Paris-based best friends and business partners Sofia Bernardin and Sabrina Marshall bonded over just such a feeling. "One day over lunch at Toraya [in Paris], we were discussing our favorite pieces that 'got away,'" says Bernardin. "It's difficult to shop vintage online, and to educate a consumer on a memorable season or designer. We knew at that moment we could bring a unique perspective to that space with our fashion backgrounds." So Bernardin, a former advertising executive for U.S., Chinese, and Japanese Vogue, and Marshall, the former fashion editor of Self Service, joined together to launch Resee.
